Carers Week is an opportunity to acknowledge the wonderful work carers do every day.

Join MOIRA as we celebrate our Carer Community with a variety of online activities throughout the week.

Virtual Morning Tea with Denise

Monday 12th October at 10am

Bring a cuppa and log in to an interactive session exploring self-compassion, self-love and gratitude.

Denise Doree is a qualified art therapist and counsellor with a passion for empowering people. In conversation with Denise, the session will shine a light on being kind to ourselves and building personal capacity in a carer role. Carers will have the opportunity to share and discuss.

BYO cup of tea and snacks and enjoy from your very own couch.

Virtual Trivia

Wednesday 14th October at 3pm

Join the fun and test your knowledge in a virtual game of trivia. There will be prizes for winners and plenty of laughs.

Holistic Resilience Workshop - How do I keep bouncing forward?

Friday 16th October at 10am or 2pm

Join an online session with Amanda Loh and learn more about how to nurture psychological resilience, the ability to mentally or emotionally cope with a crisis.

Topic's will include:
• Focus on resilience, how to keep showing up and why filling our cup is so important
• What does each person need to continue to do what they do
• How to leverage and engage informal supports
• How to create great days and put into place things that bring joy to keep bouncing forward
• Some strategies from a very practical approach

Amanda is a registered nurse, educator and gerontologist by background and has 30 years’ experience working in organisations that deliver care and support for carers of people living with a disability.
