Self-care workshop

The importance of self-care is much talked about along with its many potential benefits. It’s known to help to reduce anxiety, depression and stress, improve concentration, help manage feelings of frustration, increase energy and avoid burn out. It’s important to give yourself some support as well as those around you. As the saying goes ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup’.

But what actually is self-care? And how do you do it?

Self-care can really be anything you want it to be.
It’s less about what you do and being really good at it. It’s about just doing something for you and planning to take time (even if it’s only 10 minutes) on a regular basis and not feeling guilty about it.
Join us and three of our favourite wellbeing experts to chat all things self-care.

They will share their experience with self-care, how they have seen it help others, some great ideas of things to do or try how they got started and most importantly how they have managed to integrate it into their lives.

Amanda is a registered nurse, educator and gerontologist by background and has 30 years’ experience working in organisations that deliver care and support to older people and people with disability.

Ingrid Jones

Ingrid is a qualified wellbeing coach, speaker and is currently turning her journal writing process into a book.
She supports individuals, groups and workplaces to reduce stress, enhance their wellbeing and live more mindfully

Denise Doree

Denise is the founder and creator of Bliss and Harmony. She is qualified in art therapy, holistic counselling, and reiki, with over 20 years experience in aged care and disability services. Denise focuses on empowering and supporting people in their healing journey through expressive therapies.
