School Holidays Activities

MOIRA’s popular school holiday activities give children living with a disability the opportunity to share in fun experiences they may not be able to enjoy at home, in an environment where they are provided with appropriate support. The program also gives parents and carers the chance to spend time with children in a relaxed environment.

MOIRA hosts a range of activities, including a licensed vacation care program, during each school holiday period. These run across various locations within the south of Melbourne.

Mill Street Program

As well as running programs for children with disability, MOIRA runs the Mill Street Program. This is an inclusive program designed to meet the needs both of children with a range of low to high support needs and children without disabilities.

This program is licensed for 45 children, with 15 places reserved for children with disability. This means that siblings can go to the same program, which is great for parents and children.

Who can take part?

Children taking part in licensed vacation care programs are aged between five and 12 years. Our other school holiday programs are open to children aged between five and 17.

Eligible families may apply for the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate when accessing the licensed vacation care program.
