Supported Accommodation

Each house accommodates five adults who have varied levels of intellectual and/or physical disability and require 24-hour assistance. The houses have been established to specialise in a particular area of need, ranging from high level physical or medical support to assistance with living skills or managing behaviours of concern.

Individuals living in our supported accommodation are assisted to set personal goals and have influence over the service that is provided for them. Individuals are also supported to maintain regular contact with family members and advocates, develop relationships and increase independence where possible.

Access to MOIRA’s Accommodation Support service is via referral only, presently from the vacancy management system administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
