Jo Gibbs, Founder and Director of Treat™️, brings her evidence-based program to this free online workshop series for parents and carers of children with disability that tackles the all too common feelings of overwhelm, fatigue, and burn out.

Over 10 weeks, build and develop new skills for stress reduction, emotional regulation, relaxation, and mindfulness.

Connect x Treat™️ is more than just a workshop series. We’re all about creating those special moments. This free online series brings together a tight-knit community that support each other on the journey. Join Jo Gibbs, Founder and Director of Treat™️, for fortnightly workshops that hold space for you to practice self-care and support yourself. Enjoy poetry readings, meditation, gentle exercises, breathing techniques and more, supplemented with resources along the way.

So, are you ready to Treat™️ yourself?

Jo has been working in healthcare for over 35 years. She is a hospital and university trained registered nurse, university trained human services counsellor and Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She is currently undertaking postgraduate research in health and mindfulness for healthcare professionals.

Jo has qualifications and professional training in counselling (GradDip Couns), Mental Health First Aid (Certified Instructor) and mindfulness (MBSR and MBCT) and is currently studying her Masters of Counselling. She has spent the last ten years gaining qualifications both in Australia and internationally with: The Centre for Mindfulness at The University of Massachusetts Medical School; The Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University (UK); Mindful Practice, University of Rochester Medical Centre; and The Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia, Mental health First Aid Australia and Swinburne University. Jo has trained in Hatha, Yin and Iyengar yoga and has participated in mindfulness, meditation and yoga workshops with both senior and international teachers including: Jon Kabat-Zinn, Saki Santorelli, Dr Ron Epstein, Dr Mick Krasner, Timothea Goddard, Judith Hanson Lasater, Paul Gilbert, Alan Wallace, Donna Farhi, Peter Scott, Sarah Powers and many more teachers that she gratefully acknowledges for their craft, guidance and knowledge.

She is a devoted mother of three teenage girls and four rescue cats and dogs. She loves swimming in the bay, spending time in her aromatic garden and drinking champagne.
